Well, I took the plunge and am officially old.
Went and picked up my hearing aids last night. Boy are these things gonna take some getting used to. I used to just be in my own little world, now I can hear a damn bug crawl across the floor. And sipping my coffee is a bit annoying now.
 Just be interesting to see what I've been missing out on.

My MIL tried some hearing aid some years back, refused to wear them because she could hear us talking and walking in the house.
Then it turned into her asking why everyone looked so angry when they were talking to her (screaming so she could hear us).

I need them to hear TV shows where they speak in whispers. 24 is a good example.

I have had mine for about two years and I really am glad I got them. Does your set have different settings? If yes, Make a truck setting that blocks all the noise.
