Comp Saver.....

Was a little torn where to post this one, engine and trans or oil and slippery...... Root cause seems oil or lack of
I do recognize a shop associated with this product and seems as the theory might be ok. What say the smart types in here? I was sending the Dogfish in for the latest version that involves glue and stuff, because i'm not happy with the racket and maybe gain a couple other hop up things, but I digress, what about this product for our crap compensators??

You probably know as much about it as myself. There are a few testimonials out there, but I'm not sold yet.

I think there is a larger crowd awaiting the release of another comp set up from one of the usual vendors. In theory, I believe they all accomplish the same thing.

There's also another new comp from HD that I believe addresses the issue. I guess its pick your poison.

This is the product that "inspired" Harley to put a similar design in the primary on the 2014 bikes. I've never had a compensator issue, so I have no experience with the product. There are some on here who have had experience with the shop

I have had issues with the comp several times but it is an engineering problem and may ultimately fall out as an alignment issue. I fixed my comp -- finally -- with the (then new) Screaming Eagle comp and a change in the number of teeth in the ring gear. I haven't had a problem since. (Knocks on wood)

I'd be inclined to see what Harley is up to rather than add an after market piece that may or may not do anything but create a placebo effect.

It seems to me that some backs have an issue and others never do.

Just don't be fixing it if it is not broken.

This is just a good reason to turn the radio up.

Harley has already obsoleted the "new" 2014 compensator, Lord knows what'll come next. Smart Dave believes the best thing you can do is run Formula + in the thing, so that's what I'm doing.

34k miles on mine and running formula + as well. No noise, and I've been known to bang gears occasionally.

Does anyone know why they went away from the design used in all the evos and twin cams through 2006? Ya know, the one that was bullet proof.
