Simple physics I would think. If you add a sufficient volume of oil to match the added volume of the crash bar, since it is a closed pressurized system, the pressure should be equivalent.

This is an old thread. The cooler worked to good. I had to remove it and opt for a Jagg 10 row. Oil temp never got above 180 and I built up contaminants in the oil rather quickly that would never burn off. Even with a thermostat it would never go over the rated 180 opening temp of the thermostat. It did add about 1 qt of extra oil to the capacity. With the new lowers on the bike I wouldnt try it, may melt them or peel the paint.
The jagg 10 row works good and it rarely goes over 200.

Your moving alot more oil. Maybe it doesn't matter I am not an expert by any means, on fluids.
There is also the question, if it is able to pump it, will the motor run to cool on short trips, causing condensation. I am asking, not saying. Plus even after blowing it out, is it clean enough to run oil, from your engine throw it? Like hacking out an artery in your leg, and running it through a straw. |

But I do think it is important to update the orginal thread. |

Also maybe you could have got a cute fuzzy fur or shag cover for the crashbars, so they would heat up the oil.
