Test report Shell Rotella 15W/40

This is based on Victory recommending a 2500 mile oil change for my year and model.
As you can see I can and will go much longer next time. I'll send in the next sample at 5000 miles.
Rotella T is just a little over $3.00 a qt. and tested great!!!
I used the factory filter.

I fear sitting in 100 F heat in traffic, no where to get out, engine near toast. That's why I run synthetic.

I started sending mine in thanks to Vindex's thread down the street. Based on what I saw, I'll never worry about oil again. Use the grade specified, change it when the manual says to, make sure the level is correct. That's it.

Not a big fan of Rotella T.

Hell, I won't even run it in my diesel powered snow shovel.

What do you run in your snow shovel? I run Valvoline, with no problems.

15W40 Delvac.

I've seen too much of the Rotella T after a couple thousand miles in
big iron. A nasty filthy mess.

This turned into an oil thread.
The Rotella T tested way better than expected. Good.
My current is 4 qts of dino and 2 qts of syn. Home Rotella blend.

Sitting in 110+ shouldn't be a problem like my Harley this bike runs much cooler. Victory actually reduced the size of the oil cooler because the bikes wouldn't reach operating temps.
