Apes for Ruby....

I want taller bars but can't decide on Cycle Smith 13" apes or Wild1 Chubby 14" bars.

I had 13's on Elvira, but like the look of the 14's...

Cost may wind up being the deciding factor.

Anyone have experience with Wild1's bagger bars?

Russ and I both put 575's on our bikes a while back. Lately we both thought we should have gone 2" taller, but not as high as your going.

Fit and finish was good. Russ recommended the kit to re-wire the TBW. I didn't need it on the 05.

Biggest pain will be determining which length cables to use.

Eventually I may change the bars on Krpto, but they are ok for now.

Also with the 575's. Not apes, but the Wild1's are quality products.

I'll go apes soon. Looking at monkey bars or something similar. Didn't like the 575s. Felt too low.

Search the web for tips on pulling cables through the MB's. Apparently it's a once in your lifetime event.

If I change the bars again, I'd go with T-bars. Something like this. Already got T-bars on the Dyna, really like how they feel.

Appears you have to cut new holes in the fairing cap cuz they don't use the stock width....

I also have 575s. They are too low for my comfort, but that is the compromise to keep one's hands behind the fairing. The quality is outstanding, and for what they cost as nothing more than a bent tube with chrome, it should be outstanding.

I have Monkey bars, and I recommend the wiring juts they sell for them. Makes life much easier, though not exactly cheap. They are comfortable and high quality and I think worth the price if you can swing it. They look good in EG and RGs too.
