Installed HD Screaming Chicken mufflers

The four inch Street Cannons.

Out of the box I see the "baffle" is just a straight through perforated tube, you can see from one end to the other, sound deadening is achieved by wrapping the "baffle" tube with fiberglass or other something of that sort.

I just love the section of the instructions, that states at time of construction they meet all EPA noise (dB's) emission guidelines.

There is an admonishment to not "modify" them to produce more dB's or "you" will be breaking the law!

Also there is a "Note", > This product should be checked for repair or replacement if the motorcycle noise has increased significantly through use. Otherwise, the owner may become subject to penalties under state and local ordinances. < Ha!

I can just imagine taking your bike to the dealership to ask them to "repair" the sound deadening qualities / EPA standard. They will probably be more than glad to "repair" with new replacements.

Also the body is stamped that they meet EPA noise standards of "only" 80 dB's!

So far I have only started them in the garage, but to me they sound much louder than the stock ones, maybe the stock ones are rated for 40 dB's?

Maybe tomorrow a quick ride about to hear them better, as today is a motel shopping supplies run to Carson City.

Those Torca © clamps sure are "fun" to tighten, with a tightening torque range of 45 - 65 ft Lb, wow! I went with 53 Ft Lb and sure was worried they would snap off the clamp bolt, before the wrench went click!

I almost went with them but opted for the Jackpot 4" instead. I read a bunch of reviews and listened to how they sound on youtube, they had a nice deep rumble

Did a good blast today, sound good.

A bit of a whistle out of the right pipe, maybe the gap between the short slash end caps I installed and the baffle end plate where they bolt on?

At least all the anti seize I used on the pipe to muffler joint is burned off...

I was going with those until I found a screaming deal on the Jackpots. I really like the sound of the street cannons.

Would have went with the Fuel Moto stuff also, just that I have to deal in cash at times, as the "finance" department doesn't allow for plastic transactions...

I liked the street cannons on my Roadking. I wish I had put them on the Roadglide instead of the Rineharts which sound awesome but interfere with hearing the radio.

An amplifier would fix that.

Sent from someone else's Galaxy S7.
