Sounds to me like it was several volunteer departments. These guys all have full time jobs also. It's hard finding guys willing to volunteer their time to do this. So a clean up crew may not have been an option. Stay safe out there.

I was thinking some crew from BLM (bureau of land management) or USFS.
We had a lightning strike up on the mountain of Coleville some years back. They got it out and didn't leave a clean up crew, and there were still smokers up on the mountainside, a week later and we got one of our Wyoming rated winds come through the area. It flared up and almost took out all of Coleville. To this day they are still peeved at BLM/USFS Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

When I left yesterday, it was mostly out. Still one spot smoking like an erupting volcano. You could still feel the heat coming off the ground. We'll call it good for now. Temps are supposed to be 109 for the next couple of days. Hopefully the wind will stay calm and it won't fire back up.

Hope that the fires don't kick back up this weekend. It's going to be as high as 111-112 here tomorrow.

It looked to be all out! Finally! Now for the job of repairing the fences.
It is really dry down there. Kat's mom had a cedar tree on her land in Fairfield spontaneously catch on fire. Thankfully nothing but the tree was lost. When I play frisbee with the dogs it winds up with us all in a cloud of dust. Somehow the frisbee disappeared. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
