Foolish / Another life's ($$$) Lesson
So anyhow as I am in transit waiting on the new places completion of construction.
The kitten resides in a storage unit, the units are unsecured and anyone can drive onto the property any time of the night or day. Anyhow I got to worrying about my old disc lock not being good enough and purchased an Abus 37/55 pad lock, $$$, turns out the shackle is too thick (larger diameter) to go into the hasp hole. Was thinking of drilling the hasp shackle hole a bit larger, then it dawned on me that the hasp was the weak spot and could be hack sawed to remove the padlock of any type. It is of the "standard" garage door sliding type. Sigh... Oh well, I have the next bike picked out... }

The guard kitten is a very good idea.

You should just chain it to a sturdy pole.

Big azz capacitor hooked up to the door handle & latch. A discreet switch and a bar with an insulated handle to discharge it. Too bad your so far away, I have several but too heavy to ship but they are relatively easy to find used from plants being refurbished.
Do not forget to switch off and discharge, peeing yourself and doing the funky chicken in the dust and dirt is a drag..... |

When I worked at Gates, some of us would use a largish capacitor wedged in the seat of the Kalamazoo trucks, between the bottom and the seat back.
