Just throwing this out there. Are you positive you don't have any cupping on the front tire to induce the low speed wobble? I had three front tires in a row that cupped badly. So much that it was noticeable when looking at the tread.

Tingly.

Just have to be sneaky getting to it and lots of patience.

Well that leaves me out

Might have to just break my promise and buy a 19 after all

From what I have looked at on the eight valve 4 spark plugs (two under the fuel tank) Milwaukee 8 engine bagger '17 and up, it appears that the faring and the things on and in it are pretty close to the Rushmore wet heads.

Update:

Finally in between all the other stuff I am packing and toting about, I finally got it all back together and went for a ride.

At 35 MPH no more wiggle, wiggle, wiggle with hands off the bars.

And I didn't get it so tight as to induce the "Too Tight Swing Away" "Weave" while riding at highway speed.

I could go a smidgen tighter, But I can wait for another day as there is the ride to the week before Sturgis coming up next Saturday...

Glad to read you got that behind you before risking many more miles. I've been lucky with this 06' and have never experienced any issues with the front end. I do however feel when my tires are cupping and restrict the more on edge riding to more touristy like riding. Both front and rear were replaced just before ES and got a clearer view of the wear on both tires. It was rather harsh. I'd still bump triple digits on the straits without worry till just before repacment. I've discovered each tire will give constantly changing handling characteristics throughout its life.
Enjoy the ride and the trip to Sturgis. I'll be changing my stator this weekend

I highly encourage you to do that outside. Like a skunk, that smell is hard to get off once it's attached itself.

Has your stator gone "South"?

The 2006 had a three phase one that lasted way longer than the older Two Phase ones.

Mine was still going strong in the '06 RG when I traded it in.

Can't say that the radio was working, as the display had gone dead the day before, you could still fiddle tune, switch bands, but you had to guess what it was on.
