Geeze and Dave (the D part of JD's) mocked me...
...when I told them that my shifter arm was torqued to spec, yet still loose (Yes, Oxbig, that's why it was a-wigglin' at ES.).
So I came home and, after making an appointment to get it replaced (supreme laziness, but it's the one behind the inner primary) I figured I had nothing to lose since I was gonna miss the Pony Taco's ride if it didn't get fixed until the Wednesday after the ride, so I tightened it up "3 men and a small boy" tight. No wiggle, no worries. And I can use that $300 for something boring like food.  I would not recommend this without a backup plan, BTW, because if you twist that bolt off or strip it on the road...
