Question RE: '43'

Has there ever been an issue with the 'Defiant Crew MC'.
Thinking about purchasing a cover from 'wares'.
We have two chapters in NH and I'm participating in a fund raising run with these guys in July.

Looks like they're a non-1% club, judging by their websites.

They say they're a non-territorial club. They have cool t-shirts, tho. Like the logo!

I took the 43 timer cover off the 'b' a few years ago.

I was getting too many 'what's that timer cover mean' questions.

Mind you, I didn't feel threatened or anything, but who would come up to someone gassin' up their scoot and pretty much ask that question right off the bat?

I did some investigatin'. There's a nationally infamous 1% club in the area, with a support club clubhouse just up the road.

So, the timer cover came off.

And with that, the inquiries ceased.......

I've been asked and have answered about the cover. I haven't felt it was a problem.
The larger problem is most LEA's view anyone on a motor as something to keep a close eye on.

Probably because we've been known to roll into a little burg and consume mass amounts of food and pie, pay the tab, And!, leave a tip...

Lots and lots and lots of motorcycles in NH. LEO's don't pay much attention to us. We blend in like really well.

I don't see a 7 timer cover causing any issues. I do have a GD Steal Your Face Derby cover and depending on who asks, I tell them 7 is for Grateful

I respectively answered about the cover, too. Told 'em what we were about, offered up a business card.

I'll answer questions all day about the 'b', about where I ride, about my gear, about where mrs. o sits when she rides with me.

I just got tired of having to answer the same questions asked by men who were protecting turf.

LE around here leaves me alone. Why would they be concerned with a pudgy dude who wears a neon yellow hat while he motors around on his retired cop bike?

LE prolly think that guy should cut back on the pie........

I don't know about that. From what I'm seeing, their colors all have a state rocker on the bottom..
