There are probably more things to see in Cherokee. The Indian Museum was pretty interesting, but I rushed through it because my knees were hurting from the standing/walking. There are other shops and such, but she's going to need a ride down, rent a car or long taxi ride. Cherokee also has a fairly large casino.

Oh no. Don't put that on me. I'm a Transition Specialist. I help churches out by filling in while they're looking for their next pastor.
My primary assignment while I'm there is to help them face the cold hard ugly truth of just how much of the dysfunctional shite they scapegoated off on their last pastor when they sacrificed him on the altar of their need to convince themselves they're right about what pure delight they assume they are to work for was actually rooted in their own unresolved emotional health and lack of self awareness. I get to say out loud all the things a pastor who's trying to stay long term won't say for fear of being fired. I leave with as many arrows as possible in my back which would have been fired at the next pastor to buy them as long a honeymoon as possible to get off to a healthy start. Of course, sometimes the former pastor really was an idiot (25+ years experience tells me this is true roughly 20-25% of the time that a congregation says it is...). In that case, the job is to help the church face up to the fact that something in their collective emotional DNA led them to the unanimous, or nearly enough unanimous, idea that the former idiot was their best bet for a wonderfully inspiring leader the last time around. Then, to help them get honest enough about how that happened to minimize the likelihood of a repeat. But, um NO. I'm not a pastor. I'm WAAAAYYY too honest and my attention span is too short. Quote:

I clicked above, but hadn't posted till now. I'm bringin my theistic self to MV. Ready or not!
Russ, I watched that cool video on how to load a scoot with that ramp set up. I didn't see how it would easily unload unless you hooked a winch cable to the back of the ramp to pull it out of the truck. And those little winches are clutch style where un spooling them using the motor wears the clutch out. BOB

I'm putting DPH and I in for a very strong tentative. I may be able to afford a few days away from work for some much needed R&R.
