well I am done taking stuff apart except pulling out the 7 old cylinder studs (one came out with the top thingie part)
Now I have 2 big piles of parts F-R The cylinder walls look very good, the pistons have a slight scratching on the fronts and rear lower skirt, but no gouges do I need to replace them? Does a machine shop clean up the heads ie: clean the gasket material off and the carbon? Or do I have to? Should I pull out the valves and lap them? It was harder than I expected to pull the wrist pins out, shouldn't they have slid right out? and they seem tight when I try to push them through the rod bushing should they be replaced or is this normal, I probably will have to tap them lightly to get them through. any other stuff you guy/gals can think of? tanx
