There are times, when it is the best course, to allow a Gentleman the discretion of being circumspect, out of respect for aforementioned Gentleman, not to mention the "Friend", whom said Gentleman is being circumspect about........................................
I wish you were closer Don, I'd straighten the bar out, without any more than a cursory question or two, only to determine the circumstances of the incident that caused the damage, only to ascertain how best to remedy, said damage. (And, as you have done, a TRUE Gentleman, when questioned, only obliquely alludes to involvement of implied "Friend", with a smile of acknowledgement, without impugning the virtue of the "Friend" in any way, shape, or form! Well done sir!!!!!!  ) Just sayin'............................................ .......
