did 3 years active in the late 60's (66-69) and 3 years inactive ........ it was a good thing for me, but there was no way that I could've done that for 20 or more years.
Hats off to those of you that have made a career of it. THANK YOU for your service to our great country !!

Did a hitch and wasn't able to re-up when my ETS date arrived due to medical and family issues. Was in HQ Batallion 3rd/8rd Field Artillery (back in the 155mm self propelled days) and went to Company A 2nd/20th SFG to get a slot for OCS. Really loved being in the Army and am thankful to all who serve our country across the different branches of the military.

I'm proud to have served 2 years active and 4 years active reserves from '69 to '75. I never really considered the Army as a career, but volunteered at a time when it was unpopular to do so.

Grew up as a child of a SAC warrior.....Did my hitch with the USAF...didn't retire....been with them 20 years now as a civilian.
