I saw this on Vet's Day.

Vietnam Nurses with Dana Delaney

Very powerful. Made me sad to see young women so mentally wounded by war.

The loss of young men to war is horrible, but part of it is hard wired into humanity. It's what we do.

But seeing women placed in harms way so, is not easy to watch. One of the reasons that many are opposed to women in combat is not sexist, but that we value them so much.

I said to myself as I was watching these women tell their stories "They shouldn't even be there as nurses...".

One told that on her arrival a nurse gave her some advice..."Shoot yourself in the foot or get pregnant NOW...".

Those are great pics of the memorial. As impressive as they are, when standing in front of it, the memorial itself will bring tears to your eyes.
