I have gotten hooked to the point that when season 6 comes on Showtime, I will have to subscribe. We also are hitting Californication, and Dead Like Me as series shows.

Can't say that I have seen many good movies lately. I watched an independant flick called Expiration Date. It's based in Seattle, has a good story and some nice visuals. It even has Les Nessman in it. See if you can find "Kenny". Australian, and I thought really funny.

Well, it is television after all. Most of the programming is very disappointing however that isn't what bothers me most. A full 1/3rd of every hour is dedicated to commercials. Even if I do find a good program to watch it is interrupted every 10 minutes with a string of 4 or 5 commercials. I can't even keep track of what I am watching. Why even bother?
They are making millions off commercials and still charge us a profane amount each month for their services which aren't so great to begin with. We lose cable at least twice a week here but my wife needs it for work. The cable modem/tv package is cheaper so we go that route. She is retiring this year and we are retiring our cable company the next day. The tv will be sitting at Goodwill the day after that.

Carry on.

(I would get off my soapbox but I sold it. Ask Mega, he can fill you in.)

My Satellite service is rarely interrupted. I don't like digital OTA though...you either get a picture or you don't. I want my grainy picture in the OTA channels back please.

As for the commercials, that is why I like the TV on DVD...you can watch a 30 minute show in 20 minutes now...good stuff!
