If from New York City's Central or Battery March Park. Probably taste like peanuts.

Just saying.

I have no personal knowledge, just observed behaviors.

Having grown up in the south in a family that had pecan trees, Iíve eaten piles of squirrel. In fact, my grandfather would clean, cut up and freeze them all during pecan season then fry them up for breakfast on Christmas morning. Very festive. They taste like a cross between dark meat chicken and rabbit.

Used to hunt squirell as a young'n back in OH with a couple of buddies. One of em's dad taught us the proper method to hunt the little buggers and we almost never came home without our limit. Always had 'em pan fried and my recallection is about what TOE described.

My mom and dad didnít partake at all in our house....however, paternal grand parents did. I could never duplicate the tenderness of the meat my grandma achieved. Iím pretty sure she must have pressure cooked them before frying.

Pretty much taste like chicken thighs.
