POCONOS 2017

Since folks need to start planning vacations (and Mr. T.O.E. twisted my arm), here we go.

1st. PLEASE CHECK ALL YOUR AVAILABLE WEEKENDS IN THE POLL.

2nd. The venue will be the same as last year, Mountain Laurel Resort & Spa.

3rd. The base rate for a room with two double beds is the same as last year $79 per night. There are discounts listed on their website (AAA, CAA, Senior-50 and older, and Active Military-Federal/State/Local Govt. Employees) that bring the rate down to $71. There are also one and two bedroom suites available.

4th. As I will be out of the country the weekend of 8/4 - 8/6 and not available to provide the pulled pork for Fri. night :whistling:, I have not included it in the poll.

5th. Here is the LINK to view the resort's website. You can book online or contact Anya at 888-243-9300 if you have any questions.

6th. For your GPS, here is the resort's address:
81 Treetops Drive, White Haven, PA 18661

Voted. :woohoo:

Just throwing it out there, Sturgis 2017 is Aug 4th - 13th, in case that matters to anyone.
I'm not planning on that ride this year.

Friend is asking me to plan out a ride that goes to the Boeing plant tour and return somewhat through Idaho, I'm trying to swing up into Montana and drag him back via Lolo Pass...

So, for those of us who live in other countries like Texas, and thought about attending, is there a good place to rent a bike?

While there is no Eagle Rider or similar rental agency in the area, there are three HD dealers (Barb's, Brian's, Keystone) in close proximity that rent through the "HD Authorized Rental" program. You can arrange it through HD's website HERE. Of the three, Keystone might be the best choice as it is on the way to the Pocono's. You can come in Thursday and stay here Thursday night or come in early Friday and we can get you to there on the way up to the hotel. You also might reach out to Smart Dave and see if he can offer some alternate solution.

Isn't the required rental for this a goldwing? :coffee::sofa: :DD

Dinero 02-25-2017 09:26 PM

With a sidewalk GPS.

Scabbydoo 02-26-2017 11:42 AM

That's only a requisite for the Baltimore area.

Not sure yet. We're planning on it, but there's some crap going down at work that may affect this......I'll know soon.
