The Tuesday Quiz

1 Attachment(s)
This is a THREE part quiz

1. What is this?
2. Where is it?
3. What is it used for?

Usual points system applies.
.

Slick 09-17-2013 06:13 AM

Its a period, at the end of your post and it's used for punctuation.

BigTed 09-17-2013 06:17 AM

Correct, but for some reason the pics don't show and I have to reload them.

But you do deserve 10,241 points for that.

It is the Stone of Scone, coronation spot for Scottish kings.

It had illicitly resided in Westminster Abbey for years but I believe is now in Edinburgh castle.

There are some that believe it is a replica sent to Westminster in the 50s after the real one was purloined for return to its true home.

I always thought scones were kind of hard, is that why you soak them in some coffee before eating them?

You're thinking biscotti, that's a few countries over unless you're Dario Franchitti. Scones are soft and eaten with clotted cream and jam. Mmmmmmmm.....

At least you don't hate me this time. :whistling:

I've had scones that could be used to repair the stone work in the garden wall.

Maybe a Scottish /Italian bakery makes them?

I prefer track lighting to sconces. :whistling:

I'll send you my mom's recipe, they're soft and tasty.

BluesFan 09-17-2013 02:15 PM

Clotted cream sounds nasty as all hell.

Explain please, for the American audience
