Ouch, that early puts us out, all our passes will be in snow and deep in gravel. June is about as early as we can escape with going up and over......

Haul the bike over the passes into western Wa, decent riding weather from there. Or fly down and rent a real bike, you know, one without that ugly ass shark nose.

The issue is the Siskiyou mountains and getting over the those passes into Cali.

Even if you take the low route (I-5 to 199 to 101) Last April I hit snow on 101 in Northern Cali.
Even trailering is a problem, if snow is falling, the CHP will shut I-5 down (ask me how I know this).
I would be willing to go, but we need to be thinking June for those of us above the 45th parallel.

April'ish is about as early as we ( my location ) can hit the road for a long trip. Sometime still snow around sometimes not. Passes are still closed till late June.

East into ID then south through NV. But the snow is gone in CA by mid May unless we get another strange weather year. This year there was still snow in the Sierra passes until late June.

Or not, I ride my bike on runs - trailering doesn't cut it or count and if I'm gonna fly and rent.... I'll go to the east coast and see what all the fuss is about!! As for the rest :
The idea is to get a western run going and if it caters only to a select few, well.....

June won't work it's reserved for the Palooza

July and August are the furnace months in AZ. How about late September?
