Lookin for a bobber starter

Hey! Need some help looking for a Sportster 1200 to start a bobber project.
I need a bike that is essentially stock and reasonably cheap. A bike between
1990 and 1999 to keep the price within reach with little or no custom work done.

I have looked in Cycle Trader, Ebay and craigs list as much as possible to find something. The prices are inflated well above NADA values. The gas crunch has also had a great deal to do with this.

So, if you guys hear of any deals out there, please let me know.

Thanks much

Lots of possibles out there. I looked at one, but it look's real iffy and may have been in a wreck. Guy put a larger tank that he says has a pin hole in it and they also put a wide glide front end on it.

I would try J&P or DK they have a good selection of starters. See my thread for useful info.

Saw a buy it now bike, and its within the NADA book value. I have to get pre-approved to bid on the bike though. I guess it would be nice to see if the bank would lend me a certain amount of money before I go into some deal huh?
