I've researched this until the cows came home and what I have decided to do is the Screaming Eagle Hyd upgrade kit and the Andrews 26 cam. Great set up in a bagger or heavy bike and the new style tensioners are trouble free.

I've looked at my tensioners and they don't look too bad but, I think I'd just be whistlin' past the graveyard to just forget about them.

I've researched this way too much as well.
I'm going to talk to an indie today and bring along the parts list that Andrews has on that one .pdf and have him price it out and see how it compares to the SE conversion kit. I'm going to talk to the engine guy at a nearby H-D dealer as well and have him price out the same stuff. The H-D shop has a dynojet on site so they can retune the bike as well and their prices seem pretty reasonable on that end. Personally, I prefer the two new roller chain setup, which will require the 'N' conversion cams. You run regular 'A' cams with the SE conversion. I'm gonna go with the Andrews 26 cams as well. The 'N' cams cost the same as the 'A' cams. I don't have the coin right now to do a 95" and figure that as long as someone's in the cam chest, they may as well do the cams. There's minimal additional labor as long as the thing is already open.

It woke mine up...on day one it felt like someone took my bagger and replaced it with a lighter, sportier bike. Of course I'm used to it now so that feeling is long gone.

I use my bike primarily for commuting with an occasional weekend ride thrown in. I ride solo 99% of the time. I ain't a road racer. I'm thinkin' the cam swap will be a-okey-dokey.

He's right. I am worried now. Lot of trips coming up this year, and I'd hate to get stranded mid-trip.
Think I will stop in and see Gary this Saturday and get his opinion. I wouldn't even know where to start researching it, and I don't trust either Harley shop here to be straight with me. If I go to the dealership, they'll just see a dumb chick and dollar signs.

I too have spent a fair amount of time looking at this and my last question has to do with the push rods. witch ones are the best option for adjustables ? I have heard alot about them being loud.

IF you get the S.E. Premium Tapered... replace the nuts before you install them. They are notorious for cracking and splitting in half.

Still confused, (mebbe more). It seems that there is an option mentioned by a couple of folks that I need more info on; somebody please explain the "07 stock plate conversion" in detail.
I understand that it would require the Ncams to fit the late plate to the early case...but are we talking about a bone-stock non-SE '07 plate, with '07 chains/gears/DR chain/hydraulics? Using my oil pump possible? Could this actually be cheaper than the Andrews kit? I need more on this(!) Oh, I've already pulled the rockers so no bolt cutters, thanks.

Yeah, I believe it does require the newer oil pump.
