Drilling into Tour Pack

The template they provide is only half a template, and doesn't make sense to me because the holes on the diagram are nowhere near where the legs on the rack are.

So I do the unmanly thing and read the directions. Step 1 in the instructions are " Identify if the installation of a Tour Pak mounted luggage rack is desired in the future." What the hell do they mean in the future? Hey HARLEY! The future is now! Sheesh!

Looks like I'm pretty much on my own.

Good thing you didn't just tape the template on and drill the holes without looking at the rack>

That looks more like a template for the wind wing (spoiler) than the rack>


You did look to be sure there is not another template on the back>

but since your a GazintA I'm sure your quite capable of drilling four holes and tightening four bolts. It is quite stressfull to be drilling holes in the tourpack but after you get done you'll probably agree its not that big a deal, and wonder what you were so worried about.

YUP! still planning on leaving the 17'th, somebodies gotta travel with you to make sure you can make it to Abilene to get your 'terminals' adjusted. what time you heading out? Was thinking about this this morning.

Couldn't you find some kid in your neighborhood to do it, for $5. Some kid that was hungry.
when I bought the Ultra, I got them to throw the labor in free. HAd them puut on rakc and lid rails. But I noticed they didn't silicone it. Not in the directions, but its the extra step you take when doing it yourself. I still can.

The plus if they screw it up, its there problem.

I though the template sucked, or I was to dumb for it. This is not a poll.
