Charlotte NC To Homer AK 07/01/2011 through 07/31/2011
Dates have beem selected, So far its me and Ole Red, and two tenatives, guy from work on his BMW and my buddy from Philly on his wing. I could end up solo if they back out but I am on with this, been years in the dreaming stage, seriously planning stage for a year, now the dates are set.

Route will be up through Michigan to Rt 2, west to Glacier NP, north into Canada through Banff and Jasper, then to Dawson to the ALCAN and the rest is straight on. 4900 miles one way from Charlotte, will be coming back through BC into WA down to I-80 and back east. I am budgeting about $3000.00 for the trip and 31 days.

If anybody has the time money and balls to give it a ride you are welcome.

I have found Muskol(24% Deet) the only bug dope that works worth a shite on the rabid blood suckers from Prince George north. Just crossed the border with a guy from Idaho going solo to the Artic Circle. Go for it!

Last time I went through there you could still by 100% deet.

The mosquitos in Fort St John, BC were the worst I've ever seen.

Except for the no-see-ums in Alaska.

I find nets work best, use to do alot of camping down in the Glades, they were so thick you could ignite them with a lighter and watch the show..
