Travelling Fishing Poles.....

One side (Sask) of my new site has a very warm, non freezing reservoir attached. This body of water has some great Large Mouth Bass fishing....
I've always wanted a quality knock down rod for the bike, and this site gives me the excuse! I have a nice ultralight reel on my trout setup already, so....
What brand of collapsible fishing sticks do you all have experience with?? Good, Bad or Ugly.......

Dirk

All good Mike,
Went to our specialty trout store here in town..... Shimano Graphite combo. This a slick little setup, the graphite rod is beautiful and the 10 ball bearing reel is the smoothest thing I've ever spun. 2 spools, 130yrds of 6lb test on the aluminum spool and 105 of 8lb on the graphite spool.
Looking forward to packing this on the bike to boot, come across some sweet looking spots now and again

Dirk

Sweet.

Let me know how it works out. Been thinking of something like that for the bike around here.

I got nothing on the collapsible but haven't seen the pocket fisherman in years.

I caught the biggest bass of my life on a pocket fisherman. No joke. Boy Scouts, was fishing and miscast, cranked the spinner bait across the surface of the water as fast as I could to recast, and this 7 lb monster bass lept out of the water like a freshwater version of jaws to nail it. I almost passed out! I reeled that sucker in and we kept that fish! I was a hero for the rest of the week at Camp Simpson. I wished I had a picture of that fish.

Hey Dirk, what's the action like on the rod. I'm looking for something like that but I like a really light sensitive action for stream trout.

Trout is my main quarry here in BC also...
I haven't fished with it yet, but its graphite and weighs less than nothing and barely an 1/8" thick between the last two guides. Whipping it around outside seems to be very promising....
