I only hope there is an exhibit at the Harley-Davidson Museum.

Early bikers, had to learn to adapt as they rode, longer and longer into the year. Early bikes leaked alot of oil and gas, so this made a fire dangerous, unfortuantely a few learned this to late. This was after the Paletonic iceage, but they didn't have all colorful syntehics and only the rich could afford anything other then silk underwear. So they turned to useing the hides from great furry beasts. Over time the hair would fall out from use and being saturated with oil. As this happened the hide darkened, until it became black from the oil and road grime.

Humans are an adaptive creature, I have faith if you roade into October, you too would find some way to adapt. Possiblly a suit made of fine silk.
