Well, first whack on the gas today and the light went back on. Same codes. I'll swap the wires tonight and see how it does tomorrow.

I cut back the boots on the new wires after I got home (special order, so I can't return them anyway) to make sure I have a good connection at the coil. We'll see what she does tomorrow.

OK, so no amount of futzing with the new wires made any difference, so I put the old ones back on. Problem solved. I've emailed Magnum Shielding to let them know their plug wires suck, and my mis-matched, too-long plug wires are beck on the bike.
