Dear Boop --- 4 and 1/2 hrs. later.
Went to help a friend and Joe called and said he was at the hangout, hadn't seen him in a while so said yes to stopping for A beer.
I was late for dinner. help.

Dumbass, you should at least have given her a courtesy call to let her know you would be late so she did not worry. That's is all my wife asks, so she does not worry. She don't care it I go drink beer with friends. If yours does, maybe not making the call saved you some initial aggravation.

Its not that I didn't WANT to call, It was "I'll call her as soon as I finish this beer". The noise in the bar was a little loud an I would have had to give up my seat and go out side to make it. You understand don't you?

I am not the one you have to make understand.
I would have called before I got to the bar so I could drink in peace without it hanging over my head.
I hate to ruin a good drink thinking about something I should have done and know it will cost me later.
Proper preparation prior to drinking is important. Think of yourself man if you are not going to think of the wife.
