Dan, do have any oil accumulation or dripping issues with the ventilator?
It seems that many of the aftermarket stage1s including the round SE, FM and s&s units all have some oiling problems for some people

Just to add a little more info that I found out.
I have 2 Harleys. A stage 4, 2010 Heritage and a 120R 2012 Trike. I wanted the Harley air cleaners to look stock but not restrict air flow. The stage 1 air cleaner was my goal. And, the dealer said that the stage 1 air cleaner was easier to tune with the SERTP. So, that was my choice. The backer plate became the issue for the Heritage. Harley parts and acc book says that the backer plate will fit with the bigger throttle body, but because of the cable, the Ventalater won't. The book was wrong. So I have a stage 1 with football cover on the Heritage. Then it came time to dyno tune the 120R on the Trike. After gettin a good tune, with the Ventalater on, we shut the dyno down. Took the air cleaner off and checked the tune again, including peak numbers. NO change at all. So, Ventalater flows good air which is what I think Russ has said. I also DON'T have any oil blow back with either one. I have been caught in the rain with no damage, but do put the sock on when the bike gets washed. I wanted the Trike motor (120R) to look as stock as I could, but the air cleaners don't match. Ohwell. Later eighty80. |

Yes, run for high speeds for extended periods of time and I will find some oil has dripped on the exhaust pipe. Thus, my quest to vent to the atmosphere.

I'm fairly set on the ventilator as my choice; I expect to mod the breather with a tube set up to direct any oil right in to the throat of the TB as many have done. This would mimic the older stock and stage 1s and should eliminate the dripping.
I'm not concerned about the combustion of the oil, but I am concerned about dripping.

It's hard to get off the pipe after it's baked on for a couple hours
