I will always be an advocate of using the SERT whenever possible, by possible I mean if you have a means of tuning it or having someone do it for you. I just removed a DTT on a friends bike that was a stock 07 Street Glide with a D&D Fatcat and aftermarket A/C. He had set and reset the thing but the bike would run great for a while and then go out of tune, when he started to drive it on my lift it popped back through the a/c. I believe some of the problem was the 2 into 1's scavenging , or possible overscavenging causing eroneous readings to the 02 sensors. So, to finish the story, we built the motor with SE flat tops, Bigboyz heads and a set of andrew 31H cams. I then tuned the bike with a SERT using a DTT twinscan setup. Had to reset the throttle postion to get the voltage correct before tuning. So far, all I have heard from him is good reports on the bikes performance. This is just one example, I also have heard good things from other people that use the DTT, but then again, maybe they never had a decent SERT tune.
