Integrated Droid batteries

I'm due to upgrade and not planning to leave Verizon.
I also love my Droid and want to stay with that platform.
However, I'm leary of the integrated batteries in the newer Droids.
Any experiences or technical expertise to offer?

Sent from my Droid whilst out 'n about...

I've had to pull the battery a couple of times on my Bionic this year. IIRC, I chose it over the RAZR primarily for that reason.

Boop got an iPhone 4S and a case that charges the phone, which is cool as hell the way those things suck down the juice.
That has nothing to do with your question, but maybe they make those for the Droid, too?

That's my primary fear. I have an original Droid (still...) and have had to do that often enough. Won't have thst strategy available with an integrated battery in the device...

The integrated battery hasn't been as much of a problem for me as the dismal battery life. If I have a slow phone day, it will make it all day. I've also had it die in 8 hrs, especially while travelling. It's a Droid 4G LTE.

Most likely sent from the bathroom by my Droid4 using Tapatalk 2.

Razr max here. I can kill the battery in a day if I use a lot of txtr time. Otherwise, I've gotten 3 days out of it.

Sent from my DROID RAZR

I have a SaFPWR Vivid Fusion 2 for my HTC Vivid. It works great. I have a removable battery, but I've never had to pull it. Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich is a good operating system.

I'm used to poor battery life with a droid, but I have an extra battery and can pop it in if I need to when I can't get to a charger. While it worries me a little to loose that option what I'm really worried about are the occassional lockups that require taking the battery out. They don't happen often, but when the do -- it's the only thing that works.

Also had a friend whose integrated battery stopped taking a charge. Couldn't use her phone unplugged for a week until a replacement came.

It all ads up to me being a little gun shy on the upgrade.

Although, the operating system upgrades do offer a little confidence.
