I spent more than the $100 it costs for the machine on solutions, beads, pouches and all kinds of other stuff that required constant attention. It's well worth the investment to protect your brown stuff

I'm not using a passive device. I have 3 digital hygrometers placed in different locations around the box just to check and they all read the same, either 67 or 68% every time I've opened it for the last 4 weeks. I expected some variation depending on proximity to the unit, but I haven't seen any. I did remove all the dividers, but still use the tray, which may allow for better air circulation. The cigars smoke great too.
