Some Pluck and Brass Ones....
My Buddies pull throttle cable snapped today as we where riding back to our respective haciendas. Long weekend, so BCAA would likely be a 6+ hr wait in 85* direct sun on the edge of a busy as hell hwy....
With the cable looped over the bars it wasn’t horrible on the hwy put we had three towns to pass thru and as I said the May Long is the official kickoff of the tourista season In town stop and go was an adventure as he had to ride one handed, looped over the bars was to coarse so right hand hanging directly over the carb with the cable firmly wrapped around his mitt. I played Tail End Charlie as he was so erratic and tried to give him buffer from the cagers. 65 miles, some of it at over 80mph in that fashion, the beer tasted good in the driveway.... Dirk |

Nice! Great job.
Should have seen the shoe string convoluted throttle cable a woman whose Porsche I would service, (the car, the car!) broke the cable one night, she bought the shoe strings at the 7/11 or AM/PM and rigged it up and got home.

We sometimes do what we have to do.
Good job.
