Anyone using something like this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Quote:
This module converts your normal steady burning brake light into an attention getting flashing/blinking brake light to increase your visibility while braking.

Motorcycle drivers license manuals in 48 states specifically recommend that you flash your brake lights when slowing or stopping to help prevent rear-end collisions. Need we say more... Do it automatically...

Here’s how it works: Each time the brakes are applied, your center high mounted brake light will rapidly flash On & Off for 3-seconds (5-6 flashes) and then burn steady until you release the brake.

If desired, the module can be reprogrammed for an additional 3-seconds of flashing. (approx 10-12 Flashes total) Reprogramming is done by cutting the small green wire loop.

The preprogrammed cycle will start over and repeat each time the brakes are reapplied. The programmed cycle terminates immediately when the brakes are released.

Module operation is totally silent. There are no relay clicking sounds. There are no reset delays required for proper operation. It does not interfere with the turn signals or other vehicle circuits. No load resistor is ever needed for LED lights.

The small "waterproof" module is approximately 3/4"H x 1"W x 1 5/8"L and works with all types of brake lights including LED clusters. Heavy-Duty 10-Amp design for 12V Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles & Motor Homes.

Hook-up is very simple. Connections are made inline between the brake light switch and the brake light to be flashed.
I've been thinking of making myself more visible during the morning commute.

I've seen folks using them, I don't personally use one. I'm adding more lights to the rear tho!

Yup and best of all, it almost idiot-proof, plug and play, no cutting anything.

Idiot-proof, huh? It obviously hasn't met me.......

I'm going to have a somewhat strange system in the back. An LED brake light, with two turns on each side. Something like the Kury part is interesting, but I think I'm gonna have a rat's nest under my fender.

I bought the relay that plugs in at your tail light assembly harness right above your battery. Super simple to install. Two red turn signal lenses, the relay and you are done. It works great it turns your turn signals into red running/turn signals. $50ish was the Dealer cost.

I think I'm gonna have to wait & see exactly how this new setup is going to wire up. I'm not sure how everything is gonna work, and I'm pretty sure all the lenses are amber.

They are great. I added some extra lights and have them flashing while the main brake light stays solid. I have seen some guys use amber lights for the flashing part, but they can't be solid to the rear, so they can't be running lights. They get attention, particulairy the blinking ambers(they are legal as "E" lights, cops usually like them, if they aren't solid)

Yep, a simple "Plug & Play" module turns your rear turn signals into running and stop lights as well. The one from HD (click) comes with the red lenses as well. While it doesn't pulse, it really lights up the back end. Mega saw mine, ask him if it makes my scoot easier to see, especially at night.
