TSC didn't have a 1-1/2" impact socket in anything other than 3/4" drive, and only in a large ($100) set, so I picked up a regular 3/4" drive socket (12-point, oddly enough) and an adapter and did it by the updated spec. The old spec was 160 ft-lbs. The new spec is somewhere north of 220 ft-lbs.

And then I noticed that the tensioner shoe was cracked. I sure don't think I ride that hard, but the wear on the bike seems to say otherwise. Kind of like the 2,000 mile tires.

Luckily I was able to make it to the dealer before it closed, and they had a new shoe in stock (and a jaw-dropping bargain at $4.52). Got home, used my handy-dandy Screamin' Eagle No-Mar Primary Chain Tool, and popped the new tensioner on with no drama. I buttoned everything up, and I'll wait until tomorrow to fill and test it.
