Bilt Roadmaster 3/4
As y'all know, I'm not a fan of going cheap on gear. I figure that a helmet is going to be half a mortgage payment. Lately, for the little bit of riding I've been doing (all solo), I've been taking my C3 Pro Modular as well as a half-lid. The modular is for shitty weather, the 1/2 is for riding when I get to where I'm going. It's inefficient, but it works.
Then I noticed that Smart Dave, Wise Dave, and most of the Long Island crew were wearing 3/4 helmets. After riding back from upstate PA in the cold and the fog, I stopped into Cycle Gear and got this. For $50. It's got a roundish shape to it, as my forehead feels a bit of pressure, and there's space around my ears, but for $50 I can cut the foam at the forehead. It vents well, it's reasonably quiet, and it's light. It's a really good travel helmet, and truthfully, I'll use it on local rides as well. Two thumbs up.

I can already feel the crushing pressure on my brow ridge.
Nice helmet, nice price. I recall a day when you could pick out a free Bell 3/4 when you bought a Motor as part of the deal. Been thinking of splurging on a 3/4 Arai or Shoei. But all I hear lately is we are out of money. But looks like going to be spending money on daughters house for security cameras and some fencing.
