S100 makes this stuff that renews the shine of the engine paint
if the paint is intact you might go that route
I use it about once every 3-4 months to keep my paint looking fresh

Ditto that. The wrinkle black phinish on your engine is actually powder coat, Painting it wouldn't be a great idea.

My buddy used HD black texture paint on his. He had some chips and he just lightly scuffed up the surface before paint. It came out nice!

unfortunately, I remember both.

Jailerman... I agree... S100 engine brightener first. If you end up with paint, make sure you degrease the hell out of the area you plan on touching up.

Oh..damn, you caught me on that one..now Beemans I remember

thanks for the advice guys, I'm waiting for me S-100, should be today or tomorrow. If I dont get the desire result, Im gonna try the repaint - carefully. I do notice a little peeling under the oil filter, but hey it is a 95 right. I didnt even think it was that bad until I installed a new shift linkage from Mickeys customs..he asked me to post a picture or two- after I took the close-ups, I said damn...I think I need a lower resolution camera.
