Once again 9's has proves he is a wise and knowledgable GazintA beyond his years.... (and I dont mean nothing but that aint so easy to do) Thanks to him the circus wagon now has a new air deflector and I have no broken bolts, skinned knuckles, and thrown tools. I remembered his caution as I was starting the first bolt, turned it in a half a turn back out a quarter, and repeat till I had about 3 turns done, then stopped, thought "nope" Richard wouldn't yank my chain (about this) pulled the bolt out, went and took the time to find a tap in the toolbox and am glad I did, the dang bolt went in nice and easy then

thanks Richard

Thanks for the thought Les but in this case it is experience not wisdom that prompted the caution>

Was at the Dealers over the weekend and saw that they had the “Air Baffle” (chrome) for only $20.00 (out of the black). So taking the opportunity to buy something for less than the HD $100.00 I got it. Yes I followed the instructions about running a tap into the holes before installation (good tip). Took the bike out for a ride and there was a large drop in the wind coming over the tank from between the forks. I use to have a problem with this as this wind would come up my chest and under my glasses (hell in the rain). For the $20.00 it was worth it.
