Glide-Pro vs Velva-Ride front mount?
Seems like y'all really like the Glide-Pro.
Why it over the Velva-Ride or Sta-Bo mount? Gettin' ready to buy one...

I can't answer the Glide Pro vs. Velva ride except that everyone I've talked to that tried both prefer the Glide Pro, so I went with it. Compared to stock it's a huge improvement. When I did the build this winter I had to replace the stock mount(just put in last year and failed after about 5k miles) went with the stock again and it sucked, vibration was horrible. Replaced with the Glide Pro and what a difference. Plus comparing stock to Glide Pro the quality difference is incredible.

I put a velva ride in the RK prolly 3 years ago. the center sleeve was too long and I had to take it to a machine shop and have it milled down. Even then it vibrated like crazy and I had to play with the torque on the bolt to get it ride-able. It did calm down after about 1000 miles and is smooth as can be but was a PITA to get installed.
I'll go with one of the others next time. I'd be interested in any experiences with Sta-bo. They are in the next town over and would be very convenient to let them install stuff.

Quite happy with the Glide-Pro on the ol' cop bagger.
Is astro lube for astro nuts? Syn or dino variety? And what would Astro, the Jetson's dog, have to say about that? Or Dino, the Flintstone's dinosaur, for that matter?

No, they evoke images of a certain purple motorcycle. Not good images either.

Glide Pro. Quality piece. Had the Velva ride, and like Toe, I had to mill the sleeve. Not so with the Glide Pro. Much smoother than either the Velva ride and the stock mount.
