Prayers sent Brother. Lost my dad when he was 59. Miss him dearly and it was sudden. It sounds as if your dad is at peace with his decision. Gosh, I have typed and erased lots of thoughts. I will just pray that you find peace with his decision.

Thanks a million times over for all of your prayers.
His praver was answered, his pain discarded, The Lord has called him homeward. Ted H. Slaughter passed away peacefully last night, his family nearby, his soul in righteous hands. It was amazingly quick; how fragile our bond to this world. He was not wracked with pain, thanks to the continued efforts of the Hospice folks, professionals, all. If there was a "good" way, this might have been it. Neither sudden or prolonged, there was time for amends, loose ends, solace, acceptnce, closure. Thank you all for your thoughts, from all my family.
