Where would I find this quick start guide?

The only one I have is a quick start installation guide.

The only thing is reads about basic is as follows:

I do have the map he loaded up for me downloaded to the bike, flashing the ECM is easy.

After I couldn't get it do to much after loading the CD, I went to the flashmyharley website and downloaded what I believe to be the latest download.

Then I was able to save and see the current map.

What I first wanted to do was rename it, easier on my aging mind than trying to remember the number string.

Couldn't figure that out, but I think I was able to save a copy of it under the name I wanted. Now I THINK I have 2 identical maps in 2 of the 6 slots. I'm good with that for now.

I THOUGHT I was doing a data run to improve on my tune, an hour in the 42 degree cloudiness (hell of a change from yesterday) to get home and learn that either a.) I don't know how to see what I did using my PC, I can look at squiggly lines on the PV unit, or b.) I wasted my money, should have went with a fuelpak-esque management system that even I can't screw up.

Chip;

If you have not downloaded them, you'll need the PV update client, and the WinPV software. Fuelmoto has a link where you can download those.

You can also download the necessary installation instructions and operating instructions including the quick tune Russ was talking about.

There is a bit of reading to get the basic concept, but once you learn how to "Quick Tune" you probably won't worry about anything else except maybe saving your modified tunes to your computer hard drive and updating the firmware on the PV.

Yeah, I'd like to be working on it now too, but even with the propane wall heater in the garage, it's not that comfortable right now.

Riding for me isn't looking like a priority until sometime maybe in April anyway. Working 6 days a week until then and lots of night shifts.

Working project that is way behind schedule, a second crew to paint at night starting next week while the prime contractor continues steel repairs during the day and helping out another project 10 miles away that's going to need a lot of corrective action to the prime coat before they can finish the mid/top coats. Oh, and they haven't finished rebuilding about 800 ft of this structure yet.

Chip, you're making this more complicated than it is. Put your PC away and forget logs.

Turn your bike on and hit the auto tune button on the display. Follow the directions.

It literally can't be any easier. You don't need to record a log, and you don't need your PC.

I went out and fiddled with it on the bike, I feel a bit more comfortable now.



...so is this unit waterproof?

...should I look for a way to put a rubber over the cable end?

I have dielectric grease on all of the connections... and a couple more RAM Mount parts to make it fit better.

I'm just like a kid on Christmas. Just want to play with my new toy
