I've not been there, but may have to ease by there to take a photo or two, someday. It continues in service as a one-lane rather dilapidated affair.

Let's meet up and have lunch up that way after riding the bridge. It's only about 90 minutes from the house.

I like photo ops.
Plus, there's not much more exciting to watch than Ricky setting up the camera and then sprinting to get himself back into the shot.

Y'all tell me... Hell, I could go tomorrow. I don't have much of a preference (because I can't predict well) about upcoming weekends as I don't have any 'set' plans, except that 9/26 I will be either working OR in the Hill Country.
