Picked up a filter yesterday. The girl at the parts counter looked at me like I was nuts when I asked for it.

do you want to wait for me to do it?

If not the best recommendation I can make is-a lot of towels over the tank to prevent smacking it with a hammer, a small ball peen or equivalent hammer, and a piece of rod or equivalent (I used an old jap bike kit spark tool thingie) and lightly tap the ring off, then patiently remove the filter assembly, !!!no need to disconnect any hoses!!!! then anti sneeze on the ring when you replace the mish mosh

I know on my '06 it's best not to connect the outlet hose back to the inlet of the pump.

Pull the wire form clip forward and up and slide the filter plate back.

Same here, got about 15-20 miles to time to walk when the light comes on. But the guage still shows about 1/8.

Yeah, it was much easier than I expected. It helped having two sets of hands, but it was pretty simple.

Got a couple of litres-1/2 gal when the light comes on, so I will leave it alone. That being said I'll probably tweak it major stuffing it back in
