seamonkeyman has failed to amuse us
My rear brake light was sticking on. I traced the fault to the front microswitch being activated and the front brake lever would not return out fully (is a heck of a small margin for switch activation) . I pulled the entire rhs switch assy apart and could not fault anything. (thats fun)

I put it all back together and checked the brake fluid reservoir, which was a bit jelly like in appearance and dark coloured. I bled out the brakes and flushed some new DOT 4 + fluid through using one of those auto bleeder hose attachements into an empty coke bottle.

Lots of gunk came out the bleed hole at front caliper and I have managed to get what I think is about 3 brake cylinders flushed through and clean fluid is coming out the caliper bleed hole.

After couple of more days of riding and bleeding and tapping the lines, jiggling the lever and whatnot, I Finally got the spongy feeling out of the front brake and the lever is being returned by the brake plunger spring to the full out position. No more brake light sticking on for me.

There is no adjustment for my front brake switch and had I read LB post earlier I would have saved myself a lot of stuffing around time, but I am on holidays and its winter and crappy at the moment so good time to learn!!

Cheers

Don't worry about it. Sooner or later it will burn out, from being on all the time.

Well, They moved the relay then, but oh well, as long as I know where they are on my bike, I am good.

Sounds like you got it anyway, and it was probably the switch stuck, not any air so, just have all the ones following you keep an eye on it. Lord knows you never follow, so you should have plenty of input at each stop.
See you in ES Lee.

Good idea, if you have to do it while on the road. I would rather have it flash for just front, then on all the time. People won't know your stopping.
