38W if memory serves me. maybe 37W. I had one go out, replaced them with 50 or 55 watt bulbs, worked great, wiring was plenty sufficient (some caution to be careful with it cause of the amps they pull) When I put in my amber sealed beams I got to looking at the reflectors in the stock housings and they were... a little charred looking. one worse than the other, one was only slightly distorted from the heat, the other was literally starting to turn black right above and behind the bulb.

by the way, this was on a '06, it has H-3 bulbs in spots, not sure what type your '02 has are they sealed beams or H-3's? Might make a difference in what wattage they are I guess.

Most of the old sealed beams are 30-35w, but can be replaced with 50w no problem.

35w. I went to wagner 50w, $17 from Drag or J&P. HD ones are thirty something, for less watts. Not sure if connection is the same. PO installed them.
