THE BARGE SAGA....
Indy has the barge, we went through a wish list of parts, finally
figured on a build I should be happy with. The motor had a severe vibration at highway speed. So bad, I quit riding it a few months back He started to disassemble the motor, checked cam side run out. He measured 15 thou. run out. Can't imagine why the highway pegs looked the size of a beer can.

I'm afraid I have a similar problem. Vibrates excessively all the time.

Ah yes.
It sucks when the Harley shakes too much. Spendy to fix, but it's all good when it's done right. Details on the build, please.

Not yet. Belt should hold up as long as there is no hole shots or burnouts.

HPI 58mm
HPI 5.3 injectors. Engine builder runs a stout 103 w/nitrous. 140 hp and still running a belt. I think I will be fine.

I've decided what might be the cause of all the heavy vibrations. The crank might likely have spun on its axis as they are pressed together and have known issues with movement. Dark Horse will fix that.
I just rolled 123,000 on mine, and it's starting to exhibit tell tale signs of well, wishing to self destruct. I've ridden it like I stole it for the last 40K, and still run into triple digits regularly. No bad vibrations as of yet. Original belt as well. Chances are I'll try to pick up a slightly used motor on Fleebay to replace mine with. If the coin works out before it craps I might go BIG or new. I haven't decided. I don't really want 30-60 payments to look forward too.

Um....no so much....
DarkHorse called builder....crank is junk. They will not rebuild it. Prolly buy one from them and have it done.
