I told him it was a Harley and was built about 6,000 of these days ago.

It has belatedly occurred to me that some of y'all reading this thread may not be FXR owners (your loss), so may not 'get it'.
The frame is unique, and has suffered since its inception because of it. It's a standing joke among FXR owners that we're gonna hear "It doesn't look like a Harley", "It looks Asianese", "Is that a Sportster?", etc. The frame is also why FXR was discontinued. It is/was superior, but more expensive to produce. Look in Uesque's post- the triangle under the seat is the offending feature. In my case, riding an FXRT, the narrow fairing compounded the problem. I am an FXR fan, upset that I couldn't afford one when they were produced, so I settled. I will own one eventually, I think that will be the project bike once the MRG mods are complete.
