I'm Back ... Long Ride Done
From home in Nebraska to hangout with some awesome friends in Junction, to Tucson AZ where I stayed with my son, to Lake Havasu AZ for a couple days, to California across the Mojave desert West to East, to Hwy 66 in AZ, to Cottonwood AZ for Smoke Out West, Long Road Ride to Smoke Out East in Rockingham NC -- at THE ROCK baby! (serial numbered silver biker jewelery bling to commemorate.. pretty cool!), back home thru the Blue Ridge mountains of TN and many other points in-between.
Holy Chit.. I think that was 19 States covered. Mileage lower then originally thought at only 6500 .. took some days to enjoy that country and not just ride thru it! These 2 are from my campsite on Lake Havasu.

Looking at the map and all the states I need to update... have essentially riden coast to coast and back in the last 2 1/2 weeks plus the North/South excursions thrown in for good measure.
One helluva good time I might add! Can't get any better.. ride all day.. party all night.. sleep a few hours then rinse/repeat. Stayed in a lot of those states too. Overnights in NM, OK, AR, TN, NC (plus TX, AZ of-course!) Bike ran totally incredible. I was pretty nervous coming back from the Mojave cutting thru Laughlin NV where the air temp meter was BURIED (125+). That road was HOT. Bike didn't even start pinging (god bless Amsoil!).

In that long empty road shot.. I sat there about 30 mins just decompressing. Only one ranch truck went by. I have another shot looking the opposite direction. Looks the same! Thats Hwy 66 in AZ below the Grand Canyon btw. The shot of the bike in the shade of a Joshua tree is not far outside the Mojave but far enough to be in NV. I was nervous as heck about finding a gas station at that point but had to get that shot (and then nervous I'd puncture a tire riding the bike out of the sand!).

Sweet. Hope we'll get to see some more awesome pics. And next time you come through TN...just stop by. There is always an old mattress in the garage, or dog house for stinking zINTs...Larry knows...

My back loosened up after a few days. Leg swelled up; foot, toes.. red like a beet. Pretty disgusting. Didn't bother me on the bike so no problem! The heat and vibration were probably good for it.
I'll post up more pics when I get home tonight. I'm trying to write up a travel report. Lotsa memories. One lesson learned --- be careful where/when you take pics or loosing your camera and getting your azz kicked would be the least of your worries! But all friendly decent folks.. just don't take their pictures. ha Fortunately I figured that out before getting in trouble .. guy took his camera out and was told in very stern terms to put it away NOW.
