New rear turn lights
I just took mine off and changed them to this. I had already moved them to add the detach backrest (the MoCo had me cut and splice the wires to get them through the new stems), now I want to have more room for saddlebags.
I apologize for the poor quality pics, my good camera is not available right now. Click on the pics for larger size. These are HD turn lights for the FL fender, I just mounted them onto my Bob fender What do you think, was it worth the time to do it?

I like it. I was looking for a better way to mount those turn signals and you found it! Very nice job.

Note to self:
Never write about mounting things when zints could be having your post read to them.

They look good ! even though the pics suc, but we understand about the 'good camera'
only a Doof would ask us if it was worth the time to do it, and not tell us how much time you spent mounting (hope the zints are sleeping) them 10 min 10 hrs 10 days jus sayin'

Thanks for the thumbs-ups, I added a couple more pics to the first post.
It didn't take very long to do it, maybe a couple of hours. It was a matter of lining it up, drilling two holes and removing the existing ones. I did have to egg the holes some for the correct alignment (so the bolts would thread. I also used the edge of a flat file to form a groove for the TS wires to go under the rear light base. I bought a pair of SS 3/8"x 1 1/2" allenhead bolts to mount the backrest ports. I made sure to use red threadlock on all the bolts. Now the iffy part. It appears that the turn signals are more horizontal than I had hoped, meaning that If they could have pointed upwards a bit more, it might be better to see. That said, a riding buddy followed me on a ride and he says he has no trouble seeing them from all reasonable distances. I have not noticed anybody in a cage looking at me funny, from not seeing me. so all seems proper. The FL fender they are supposed to be on must have a formed mounting boss because the light doesn't fit the FX fender like a glove. IMO, only a bagger guy or a closer inspection would show the gap. I had planned on making a "pad" of JB Weld to form it to the fender, but decided not to because it didn't look bad. the biggest thing to realize about this install is to be sure that the Assy is centered and level, the fender holes end up being wider than the holes in the light by a little bit (The bolts go in at an angle) oh, yeah...after the first hole is in the fender, it is alot easier to drill the second one.
